With the advent of gay marriage there are more and more gay families with children who come to Ptown for a week of activities for the entire family. Not to worry if you don’t have children or are seeking “non-family” fun as all the other activities Ptown is famous for continue in town.
It’s Carnival Time!
August 17 to 24 – Carnival Week
The grand daddy of all Ptown events and what is arguably the highlight of the summer season is Carnival Week. A full week of fun-filled days of parties and dances. This year’s Carnival them is “Renaissance + Revolution”. The highlight of the week is the Carnival Parade on Thursday, August 22 when up to 80,000 descend upon Ptown to watch and party. Guests of Aerie House have the perfect venue to participate as Innkeepers Steve and Dave host a fabulous parade viewing party from the porch of their private home along the Commercial Street parade route.
