Provincetown continues to come alive in May as businesses reopen, whale watching is in full swing and the fast ferries from Boston resume for the season.
May 3 – The first T-Dance of the 2024 season at the Boatslip. Provincetown’s penultimate gay and lesbian late afternoon, early evening social gathering for drinks and dancing on a huge deck overlooking the beautiful Ptown harbor.
May 16 – The fast ferries from Boston resume for the season. Only 90 minutes from Boston to Provincetown on Bay State Cruises and Boston City Harbor Cruises.
May 17 – Twenty Summers at Hawthorne Barn event series begins their 10th season.
May 18 – 19 – Provincetown’s Monumental Yard Sale. Attention all shoppers! A weekend when Provincetown is filled with yard sales and shops along Commercial Street display their discounted merchandise in street market fashion. Great deals abound.
May 24 – 27 – Memorial Day Weekend. The official start of the 2022 season!
May 30 – June 2 – Women of Color & Friends Weekend. A relaxing, unscripted, special long weekend of parties, cookouts, seminars, workshops and even a drag brunch.
May 31 – June2 – Provincetown Pride Weekend. Provincetown’s Gay Pride Festival returns and no place celebrates like Ptown. Let the celebration begin!
